This beautiful place is near Madrid, where people seek to spend the weekend fishing and resting from the Madrid’s hustle and bustle.

The theme for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week is Arch, Dome or Half Circle.
I choose the Cathedral of Astorga (Spanish: Catedral de Santa María de Astorga). The main entrance is in the Gothic style and is so beautiful.

Episcopal Palace of Astorga (Spain) was destroyed by a fire in 1886, Bishop Grau of Astorga engaged his friend architect Antonio Gaudi build a new one. It was built between 1889 and 1913.

I decided to post this photo taken in Spain (2014/12/13), “ El Castillo de Pelegrina” is a Spanish castle built between the twelfth and thirteenth centuries near the small town of Pelegrina, very close to the Siguenza, is well known for its famous Barranco del Rio Dulce. Unfortunately this Castle is in bad condition and in risk of disappearance.
